Chose this tour specifically for Floriade but was so much more. Our driver/director was marvelous. Really enjoyed this short break to Canberra and surrounds. Great accomodation in great location. We have been very happy with the service from Global Journeys in this and previous trips booked. While we enjoyed the people we met and the staff and service on the Ghan, the Gold Class cabin was old and outmoded. For the cost we don’t expect to be in 1950’s era rail sleeper. It really needs a major upgrade. The carriage is very noisy including the ...read more aircon which is near your head on the top bunk. Teensy and old shower/toilet bathroom, albeit functioning. Side trips very well organised and enjoyable. Dinner under the stars very enjoyable and food and wine good. Journey Beyond coped extremely well when our journey got delayed after the cattle train crashed into the Ghan north of Alice Springs.

I booked an Intrepid tour of the Shetlands via Global Journeys. Sam at Global was excellent to deal with. There were a number of issues with Intrepid and Sam worked really hard to try to resolve them. The Shetland tour itself was excellent (although the fitness rating is way off, much higher level of fitness required than stated). The guide Doug, made ...read more the tour. I wouldn’t use Intrepid again because of the problems myself and others on the tour experienced, however I would definitely use Global Journeys again. Five stars for Global & three for Shetland tour (lost stars due to issues with Intrepid).

We used the G Adventures package tour to visit Iguazu Falls and very happy we did so. Trying to visit independently and working through logistical issues would have been challenging, particularly for those, like us, who have no Spanish nor Portuguese language skills. This package handled all the logistical arrangements of airport transfers, border crossings, ...read more visiting both sides of the falls, including the various walks, and arranging the optional activities. We chose to visit the Bird Park, which was excellent and highly recommended, and also did the boat trip from the Argentine side which is a thrilling ride under the falls. This trip is not operated by G Adventures directly so there are some slight differences to normal G tours, but we were very happy with the tour and recommend it highly.
